How to Use Remote Deposit

Step 1:

Endorse the back of your check “For Remote Deposit Only”

Step 2:

Log into your WesTex Community App

Step 3:

Click on Deposit

Step 4:

Capture a picture of the check, front and back using the WesTex Community Credit Union app of the Apple or Android store.

How Remote Deposit Capture Works

To use a remote deposit service, you need a picture of the check.

The image is sent to your credit union through the app, and the credit union begins the process of collecting money from the check writer.

However, expensive scanners are not always necessary. For example, you may be able to use a plain old consumer scanner for personal remote deposit. We allow you to use your mobile phone’s camera for remote deposit under the app.
